Croff Craft Drift Boats was founded by master craftsman and avid fly fisherman Phil Croff to solve a specific problem—how to fish the shallow, remote streams of Northern Michigan without compromise. Frustrated by conventional boats that were too bulky or unstable, Phil designed and hand-built his own: lightweight, maneuverable, and incredibly stable drift boats crafted to perform in the skinniest water.

Phil’s boatbuilding journey began in the mid-1990s, after countless late nights wading small streams in search of brown trout. One exhausting morning at 4 a.m., he knew there had to be a better way. Drawing on his background in construction, he built a boat that could glide through just four inches of water while keeping anglers steady and secure.

Today, with more than 20 years of experience, Croff Craft produces functional works of art—wooden drift boats that combine classic beauty with rugged performance. Every boat is meticulously handcrafted, turning heads on the water while delivering a fishing experience that’s second to none.
