Founded in 1981 in New Zealand, the Johanson family pioneered some of the world’s first carbon fiber fishing rods, creating the legendary CD rods still sold today. Carrying that spirit forward, engineer and angler Tom Johanson developed the modular ALLROD case and rod systems to make traveling with gear simple and reliable.

In 2019, a chance meeting with a Montana fishing guide sparked a partnership that brought ALLROD products to global anglers. Now based in Missoula, Montana, ALLROD continues to innovate—delivering durable, travel-ready rod systems built for those who live for adventure.
