From the perfect drift and the sudden rise of a trout to the peaceful stillness of a mist-covered river, Bryant finds lessons in faith, love, and life through the experiences anglers know so well. Blending storytelling with Christian spirituality, he explores the idea that time spent in nature can deepen our understanding of God and our place in creation.
About the Author
Dan Bryant is an entrepreneur, author, and lifelong outdoorsman living in Avon, Colorado, with his wife, Henrietta, affectionately known as Henny. His passion for adventure led him to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a fly-fishing guide in Alaska, where he survived a grizzly bear attack on July 2, 1980.
Six years later, Bryant met Henny while working at a hotel in Vail, Colorado. They married on July 2, 1988, and later embraced Christianity as a central part of their lives. Today, Bryant co-owns Map the Xperience, an outdoor recreation mapping company, and continues to enjoy fly fishing, hunting, and spending time with family. Through life's challenges and triumphs, his faith has remained a guiding force and an inspiration for his writing.
For anyone who has ever found peace, perspective, or a sense of something greater while standing in a river, God Must Be a Fly Fisherman offers a meaningful reminder that sometimes the greatest gifts of fly fishing have nothing to do with catching fish.
