About the Author
Joe W. Howell has spent over 40 years living along the North Umpqua, guiding anglers, and running The Blue Heron Fly Shop for three decades. Recognized as the Oregon Council of the Federation of Fly Fishermen’s Fly Tyer of the Year in 1992, Howell has been featured in numerous books and articles. He resides in Idleyld Park, Oregon.
