Favorite Flies for the Upper Midwest: 50 Essential Patterns from Local Experts
Fly fishing in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota offers a unique experience distinct from the rest of the Midwest. In Favorite Flies for the Upper Midwest, Jerry Darkes curates 50 essential fly patterns, each selected for its historical significance, effectiveness on the water, or both. Tied by local experts with deep knowledge of the region, these flies are showcased with large, easy-to-see images, detailed recipes, and tying notes. While not a step-by-step tying manual, this book serves as a valuable resource and tribute to the fisheries of the Upper Midwest.
