How They Are Made

Artist Mark Goodwin cuts a fish from nickel and solders it to the brass. You can't rip it off. No paint, no lacquer. Just a hand rubbed mixture of beeswax and turpentine. The natural metal color that you see has a slightly distressed look (his grandma called it "tarnish," antique dealers call it "patina") and will get even more authentically beautiful with time and wear.

My favorite belt

I bought my first belt a few years ago and a fishing buddy of mine spotted it last summer and said “nice belt, where’d you get it?”. I told him I couldn’t remember and asked Marshall for the link.
