Tom Rosenbauer has been with the Orvis Company for twenty-seven years, and while there, has been a fishing school instructor, copywriter, public relations director, merchandise manager, and editor ofThe Orvis News for ten years. osenbauer has been a fly fisher for over thirty-five years, and was a commercial fly tyer by age fourteen. He has ten fly-fishing books in print, includingThe Orvis® Fly-Fishing Guide, Revised & Updated, which won a 2001 National Outdoor Book Award. He has also been published inField & Stream, Outdoor Life, Catalog Age, Fly Fisherman, Sporting Classics, Fly Rod & Reel, Audubon, and others, includingThe Orvis Guide to Reading Trout Streams. He lives in southern Vermont on the banks of his favorite trout stream.
